Twitterverse Swoops In With The Assist When Woman Hilariously Shoots Her Shot At Thirst-Inducing Pastor

Now this is community.

It takes a village.

Twitter came to the aid of a young woman in need last week when she tried to shoot her shot at a pastor who drew a lot of thirst with some photos following his inaugural sermon.

A pastor going by the name Demien R posted photos which accumulated nearly 70,000 likes and a ton of comments from women hoping to join his congregation.

In an interview with Faithfully, the pastor said he is a Dominican-Haitian actor living in Montreal and wanted to “prove to people that you can be a Christian and also look and dress nice and that you don’t have to look boring.”

Demien definitely did that, as evidenced by the thousands of replies from women trying to prove their Godliness to the actor.

One woman hilariously got a bunch of assists from people hoping to back up her Christianity in Demien's replies.

The woman goes by Simone and her profile says she's a Howard alum.
Here are some of the most comical responses.

Immediately, dozens of people commented about her supposed Christian resume.

The responses themselves racked up thousands of likes as well.

The thread had thousands of people dying with laughter.

Twitter thirst aside, Demien told Faithfully that he was inspired to look good after years of being belittled and ridiculed.

“When I was younger I didn’t really have confidence,” he told the news outlet, eventually vowing to have confidence in himself and keep up his good looks.

"You know what? I look good. I am not ugly. God made me the way I am,” he told himself as a young man.

Now that he's in his 20s and his waves are always fresh, he said he said he was inspired to take to the pulpit because of a friend.

“I haven’t seen alot [sic] of people talking about this but I do want to make this clear: when I was up there and preaching, I had my shirt buttoned up, do not think I went to speak on the Lord’s behalf with my chest out. The pictures were taken after,” he said.

He later explained that his grandmother inspired him to become a Christian and that the photos did not mean he was using the faith as a way to attract women.

“I truly am a man of God. I’m not a wolf in a good man’s clothing. I do serve the Lord, like truly with all my heart, and Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. He is my number one priority in life. You know, when people say, ‘Oh, I love God,’ but they do ungodly things? I stumbled into sin. But Jesus, he really got me into the right path and I thank him for that,” he said.

He is still working as an actor but is not sure if he wants to start preaching full-time.

“You know, if one day He told me that He wants me to quit acting, it’s gonna hurt. It’s gonna hurt because it’s my dream. But I know that God has no intention of seeing me suffer. If He wants something for me, I know that it’s the best and the right thing for me,” he said.
