These Celebs Showed Up And Showed Out At The 53rd NAACP Image Awards

It was filled to the brim with a multitude of our favorite public figures who spared no expense as they luxuriously swarmed the Hollywood Roosevelt for the event’s red carpet.

On Saturday, Black excellence got a whole lot more stylish thanks to the many celebrities who showed up and out. The 53rd annual NAACP Image Awards took place in Los Angeles, and it was filled to the brim with a multitude of our favorite public figures who spared no expense as they luxuriously swarmed the Hollywood Roosevelt for the event’s red carpet. From Shoniqua Shandai channeling the iconic Diana Ross to social media personality La’Ron Hines dripped in 50 shades of slay, the fashions were one for the books.

Check out our list of the best-dressed celebrities at the 53rd annual NAACP Image Awards.

1. Corbin Reid

Corbin Reid may be one of the lead stars on the hit Starz show Run the World, but this past weekend, she made it clear that she runs the red carpet. We stan a leading lady in red!

2. La’Ron Hines

La’Ron Hines took home the award for Social Media Personality of the Year, but he also could’ve taken home the award for best dressed of the night as well. This grey ensemble definitely lit up the red carpet.

3. Shoniqua Shandai

We’ve all come to know and love Shoniqua Shandai as a prolific actor whose storytelling makes many of us feel seen, but it’s time to crown her as a fashion icon as well. Channeling Diana Ross in a fabulous purple garb designed by the Black-owned clothing brand Keäma excites us for her future fashion moments to come. Slay on!

4. Bianca Lawson

Bianca Lawson is a national treasure and it makes total sense that she came dressed to impress. Showing up in a lovely green ensemble, Lawson confirmed what we already knew — she’s the queen of the ’90s and future generations to come. Get into it!

5. Jason McGee

If there’s still a search for who should be the next gentleman to play James Bond in upcoming renditions, look no further! Jason McGhee came dressed to impress, looking very debonair in a simple yet stylish tuxedo, providing that class will never go out of style.

6. Terrell Grice

Terrell Grice played no games with his killer red carpet look. The houndstooth pattern, the color blocking and the GQ look put him in a category all of his own. We know that he’s one of the greatest YouTube personalities out there, but we foresee him trekking into the modeling game soon. You saw it here first!

Fashion is sacred in the Black community and always has been. It comes as no surprise that these celebrities came through dripping as it’s in our DNA. We can’t wait for next year’s show. What was your favorite look?
