Rickey is a proud alum and product of the district (Dallas ISD) he teaches in and is the Co-Founder and COO for Crowned Scholars, a non-profit who unapologetically focuses on the young black boys’ holistic development through academic mentoring, intentional conversation and civic engagement. Also, Rickey has created a space for Black Male Educator in North Texas to build critical consciousness and accountability to the black male, group is called: Real Talk 2 Percent.
